La Mande bakery’s artisan breads are delicious to say the least, especially when served warm with butter or choice of jam or jelly. But you could always give it a spin of your own.

That said, here are some recipe ideas that we thought would go well with our breads.

Grilled Ham and Cheese With Strawberry Jam

What you need:

  • 10 slices of La Mande Bakery Italian bread
  • Strawberry jam (1/2 cup) with 2 tablespoons Pinot Noir
  • 5 slices baked ham
  • 5 slices (thin) of Gruyere Cheese
  • Unsalted butter

How to prepare:

Heat a large enough griddle and place 5-slices of bread with the jam spread over it. Top it up with ham, Gruyere cheese and bread slices to close the sandwiches. Lightly butter the outside and cook the sandwiches over moderate heat for roughly 2-minutes or until the cheese melts completely. Cut in half and serve away.

Mini Corn Beef Sandwiches

What you need:

  • 4 slices of La Mande Bakery’s baguette
  • 2 tablespoons Russian dressing
  • 2 oz thinly sliced, Deli corn beef
  • Minced onions

How to prepare:

Neatly spread the Russian dressing on the baguette slices and top it up with onions and corned beef. Cook either side for roughly 5-minutes in hot buttered skilled, or until they turn golden brown in colour.
